He was a son of the late Robert Allen and Nannie Galtress Branch. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs. Laura Beale Branch of Sedley; one son, Claude Cecil Branch of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and two grandchildren. Last rites were conducted at the Black Creek Baptist Church on Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock by the pastor, Rev. J.C. Lanning, assisted by Rev. Ira D. Hudgins of Franklin. Burial was made in the Johnson Cemetery, near Sedley. The pallbearers were George Bradshaw, Charles Bulls, Eddie Bulls, Alton Galtress, George Galtress and Bernard Smith.
